gifting

Whether or not you believe Christmas has lost all meaning beyond capitalism and consumerism, you have to admit the holiday season is one of excessive waste. From the abundance of food and gifts to decorations, this season has a huge impact on our planet. Now I may be a cynic, but that doesn't mean I … Continue reading gifting

nineties

I love a good theme. As a kid, my birthday parties always had a theme with outfits, decorations, and even napkins to match. One time I had a 60's themed party where all my friends wore poodle skirts and we danced around to the plethora of "Greatest Hits of the 60s" CDs we had. My sister … Continue reading nineties

dressy dress

Although I love all things sartorial, it's been a while since I bought any new (to me) clothes. I've written before about the impact the fashion industry has on our planet and society, but even with more ethical and sustainable choices, I still think the best solution is to consume less. That being said, there … Continue reading dressy dress

#haulternative

I'm pretty good at procrastinating. It's one of the reasons I haven't written many themed posts. Reading about Christmas in February just doesn't make sense. Sometimes this little corner of the internet has to take a hit to allow for me to get down to some serious essay writing! I doubt that this will be the last lull in posting I have this year, but if everything goes swimmingly then I should be fully graduated and available to blog regularly again sometime in mid July. Till then, I hope you’ll stick with with me through my sporadic posting schedule!

Today, I’m super excited to share with you the first installment of a new feature – Tomorrow Living’s Ethical Fashion Profiles! I want to showcase some of my favourite…

practice makes perfect

When I first found this sweater/cardigan/blanket with arms, I couldn't figure it out. It was held up by trouser hangers and had no discernable place to put your head. It took me a couple tries, but I figured it out eventually. This being a time of reflection, the whole experience seemed a metaphor for the … Continue reading practice makes perfect
